By using the managed web hosting services offered by Decasix (https://decasix.org), you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all customers using or purchasing hosting services. Continued use of our services means you accept and agree to everything stated here.
Eligibility and Contact Information
You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to enter into this agreement. You agree to provide accurate registration and billing information, and to keep it up to date. Email is our main method of communication. You are responsible for checking messages we send to the email address on file.
Your Responsibility for Content
You are responsible for all websites, files, databases, and activity under your hosting account. You must not host or distribute any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized content. This includes:
- Copyrighted materials you don’t own
- Malware or malicious scripts
- Adult or pornographic content
- Phishing pages or scams
- Content promoting hate, violence, or criminal behavior
Violating this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your hosting account.
Hosting Usage and Allowed Purposes
Decasix hosting is designed for websites and applications. We do not allow use of hosting space for purposes unrelated to websites. Prohibited uses include:
- File or backup storage not linked to a site
- Archives, installers, or software downloads
- Streaming large media files directly from the server
- Torrenting or file sharing
- Running background applications unrelated to site function
Our platform is optimized for hosting websites. Use of server resources must remain relevant to that purpose.
Resource Usage and Overages
We do not enforce hard limits on resources like CPU, memory, disk space, or bandwidth on standard hosting plans. However, all resource usage must be within fair and reasonable bounds for the type of service you have.
If your website uses significantly more resources than average — for example, due to traffic spikes, poorly optimized code, or large media — we may contact you with options. In such cases:
- We may recommend optimization or cleanup
- We may suggest a plan upgrade
- Overage charges may be applied based on actual excess usage
This policy ensures stability for all customers while allowing you to scale without hitting artificial limits. Repeated or extreme overuse without action may lead to temporary throttling or suspension until resolved.
Security and Website Protection
We perform regular updates, patching, and maintenance to keep our systems secure. However, you are responsible for the security of your website. You must:
- Use strong passwords
- Avoid outdated plugins or themes
- Fix known vulnerabilities quickly
If your site is hacked or causes issues, we may suspend it until resolved. We will assist in securing it, but we are not responsible for damage caused by vulnerabilities in your code or software.
Backups and Data Responsibility
We may provide regular automated backups as a courtesy, depending on your plan. However, data backups are not guaranteed. You should maintain your own backups independently.
We are not liable for loss of data from:
- Server failures
- Hacks or attacks
- Software bugs
- Human error
- Account suspensions or deletions
If we are able to restore data, we will, but it is not promised under any service level.
Email Services and Restrictions
Hosting plans may include email features with limits on the number of emails sent per hour. You must not:
- Send spam or unsolicited emails
- Use mailing lists without confirmed opt-in
- Operate mass email software
Spamming will result in immediate account suspension. You are responsible for email content and ensuring you stay within acceptable sending behavior.
Prohibited Software and Activity
You may not run software that:
- Sends or receives cryptocurrency
- Hosts games or bots
- Connects to peer-to-peer networks
- Polls or scrapes external websites constantly
- Uses excessive external APIs
You also may not run persistent background scripts or frequent cron jobs (less than 15-minute intervals). Streaming or delivering audio/video directly is discouraged unless optimized through caching or CDNs.
Pricing, Billing, and Renewals
Hosting plans must be paid in advance. We may change prices, features, or limits at any time. Changes will be posted on our website or emailed to customers.
You must ensure your billing method is valid. Invoices are due before the renewal date. If payment fails:
- Your account may be suspended immediately
- Your data may be deleted after 7 days
- You will not be able to recover deleted content
We are not responsible for loss due to missed or failed payments.
If you incur overage charges due to excess resource usage, they will be added to your invoice for the next billing cycle. These are based on actual usage and clearly itemized.
Refunds and Service Cancellations
Please refer to our separate Refund Policy page for information on cancellations, refunds, and trial periods. Unless otherwise stated, all purchases are final.
Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies or damage server performance. Reasons for suspension include:
- Hosting prohibited content
- Spamming or abuse
- Security incidents
- Failure to pay
- Persistent overuse without cooperation
Serious violations (e.g. phishing, malware, spam) may lead to immediate termination without notice. Repeated abuse will result in a permanent ban.
Uptime and Service Availability
We aim to maintain uptime above 99.9%. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime may happen due to:
- Maintenance or upgrades
- Software errors
- Hardware failures
- External attacks or disasters
We do our best to keep services available, but we are not liable for any loss caused by service interruptions.
Support and Technical Assistance
We offer support through email and our ticketing system. Support is provided during business hours. Urgent issues are prioritized for premium customers.
Support includes:
- Technical troubleshooting
- Performance checks
- Plugin/theme compatibility guidance
Support does not include:
- Custom website development
- Design work
- Advanced coding support
You are responsible for building and maintaining your website. We’ll help you keep it online and stable.
Use of Services and Fair Behavior
You agree to:
- Use our services fairly and legally
- Cooperate with our team when needed
- Avoid harming our systems or reputation
You may not resell hosting unless you are part of an approved reseller program. Misusing our platform or misleading your clients about our services is prohibited.
Policy Updates and Changes
We may update these terms at any time. All changes will be published on our website. Continued use of our services after updates means you accept the new terms.
If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using our services and close your account.
Legal Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Telangana, India. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or related to the use of our services will be handled exclusively in the courts located in Telangana. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full force.
