This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the rules and restrictions for using the managed web hosting services provided by Decasix (https://decasix.org). By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. This AUP is designed to protect our customers, network, and infrastructure.
General Conduct
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes. You may not use our services to store, transmit, or promote any content or activity that is illegal, abusive, threatening, or disruptive to others. You are fully responsible for the activities carried out through your hosting account.
Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:
- Phishing or fraud-related content
- Malware, viruses, trojans, or keyloggers
- Child sexual abuse material or content that exploits minors
- Unlicensed copyrighted materials or pirated software
- Promotion or sale of illegal goods or services
- Content that promotes hate, violence, terrorism, or self-harm
- Running proxy services, VPN services, or anonymizing networks
Resource Usage
Decasix provides generous, unmetered resources for normal website operations. However, abuse of system resources is not allowed. This includes:
- Running scripts or processes that consume excessive CPU, memory, or I/O
- Using hosting space for general-purpose file storage, backups, or media streaming
- Running cron jobs at high frequency or automated bots that overload the system
- Hosting large video/audio libraries or non-web-related archives
If your usage causes harm or degrades service to others, we may notify you and apply overage charges or require an upgrade. Persistent abuse may lead to account suspension or termination.
Email and Spam
You may not use our services to send bulk unsolicited emails (spam), either directly or indirectly. This includes:
- Sending mass marketing or promotional emails without consent
- Operating mailing lists without a working opt-out link
- Sending emails with misleading headers or forged addresses
- Sending phishing or scam-related emails
All outgoing emails are subject to rate limits based on your plan. We may suspend accounts for spam complaints or email abuse without prior notice.
Security and Access
You must maintain the security of your account and passwords. You may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to any system, account, or data
- Exploit vulnerabilities or perform security testing on Decasix systems without permission
- Distribute or promote hacking tools, exploits, or brute-force tools
- Allow third parties to use your account without authorization
You are responsible for all actions performed through your account, even if you were unaware of them.
Backups and Data
Our platform includes managed services and infrastructure-level protection. However, we strongly recommend that customers maintain off-site backups of their websites and data. Decasix is not responsible for data loss caused by user error, malicious activity, or service suspension.
Legal Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using our services. You must not use our platform in violation of local, state, national, or international laws. You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate third-party rights or applicable regulations.
Enforcement
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in actions including but not limited to:
- Suspension or termination of services
- Removal of offending content
- Reporting illegal activity to authorities
- Legal action, if necessary
We reserve the right to investigate any reported or suspected violations. Our decisions regarding policy enforcement are final.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage users to review this page regularly.
